Higher Academy for Strategic and Security Studies

Located at a long strip in western Soba in Khartoum City overlooking the Nile on its North- ern Eastern side, the Security Higher Academy is sited, surrounded by bare agricultural fields. One of the biggest construction projects in our company, a development of higher Academy Institute.

This complex consists of fifteen buildings of different function, an enormous footprint making the complex a city within a city. Consisting of gate and information Centre, an ad- ministration, Mosque, Conference Centre, Academic buildings, Library building, Social club building, Students residence building, Hotel building, and Sports Center and Clinic.

the second part of the project is Nile centre for Technology with the following components 2 Research buildings, Electronic incubator, South gate, as well as other miscellaneous building services and various playgrounds and fields.

The Nile electronic incubator center is a curve building consisting of two floors. The entire volume is a curve shape. A combination of sandblasting precast concrete tiles textured paint and a structurally glazed curtain wall system, granite tiles form the facade.

The motivation behind the design concept was imitated from an abstract perception: taking education to a higher level. A knowledge based approach characterizes the design process and final proposal of this intriguing building. This concept is integrated into all building by moving lines in the elevations shaping the building’s facade, through the solid shapes and glass openings. Solid anchored materials such as precast concrete and steel represent the significance of strength protect on and security. Adding to the landscape artistic steel structures inserted in the landscape symbolize the creativity, complex and knowledge existing. Building management system was implemented to control and monitor the MEP services, the sewage treatment plant and a power station. all these buildings surrounded by vast areas of the landscape.

This project has surely introduced development to the area by shaping the future of the surrounding neighborhood as there are many developments which are currently under construction.
